Mark I

First of all I want to say hello to everyone. My first post will be about first tank used in battle.

Mark I
 This tank was firstly used by British army during the battle of Somme. There were 32 of them: 9 of them had an accident and 5 of them were stick in the mud. Although these problem first battle of Mark I was a great success for British army.

There were 2 armament versions of Mark I: male and female

Male version:

2 cannos caliber 57 mm
3 machine guns

Female version;

5 machine guns

Mark I was designed to go through trenches. It's maximal speed was only 6 km/h with only 30 km of range, but its debut was a revolution on a battlefields.
